Welcome to the official website of the Amazing London Race

The “Amazing London Race” is the brainchild of Shawn Bates, the owner of a small home-based business called EssJay M.E.C.A. (Marketing and Event Coordinating Associates). The goal of EssJay M.E.C.A. is to run special events in the London community to raise funds for non-profit organizations. In recent years, Shawn has raised funds for the “Heart and Stroke Foundation”, “Mackayla's Fight for Sight”, “Jesse's Journey”, “Sunshine Foundation” and the “Children’s Health Foundation”.

The Amazing London Race is conducted in the same format as the hit CBS TV show “The Amazing Race”. There will be pit stops, detours and road blocks to be completed. If you are a fan of the TV show or the concept of car rallies, this event is for you. This year the race will feature at least 15 different destinations (including a quick trip outside of London) with a mixture of tasks to complete and historical landmarks to visit.

We are currently seeking racers and volunteers for the RETURN of the “Amazing London Race” on Saturday, June 15, 2013.  Once again, money raised will go on to support the “Children’s Health Foundation” in support of Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre. 100% of the net proceeds from this great event will support this great cause.
